Hello, My name is Kristen Swanson.

I am looking for a science experiment for my 7th grade Christian school project. I think an experiment on 3rd world countries problems in the home is most important.

I am thinking of doing a science experiment on candles or kerosene lantern fumes or light amplification (I am trying to decide. I am writing you because you do work in South America and would have a "hands on" opinion of what would be important.

I would really like your opinion and thoughts on how this experiment should apply itself.

Choice 1: I am trying to find out how to get more light out of an ordinary candle. Do you think that this is a good science experiment? I would very much appreciate it any comments or suggestions.

Choice 2: My other choice would be to remove the fumes from a kerosene lantern while inside homes. If you have any information on that, that would also be helpful. I guess it is either let the fumes in the house or use a hose to let it outside. I would have to research and test to see if there is another way.

If you know anybody that would have any other information then that would be very much appreciated. Who else can I contact to ask this question?

Thank you for helping me and I hope that everyone can learn from my experiment!

Thank you,
